I had heard this book was a classic and I know it has been read by many, but I had never read it before. So when I found it via audiobook I thought it would be a quick and easy read. The characters were well written and I found it a fascinating story. I think I was also prompted to read through it because there was a movie that was recently released (which I haven't seen yet). It will be interesting to contrast the book to the movie. I also found out there are 4 more books in the series, so that will probably be on my list of books to read in the near future.
